The last couple of times I have been to Walk for Life my pulse has been 26. They work on 18-25 for my age group (45) per 10 secs. They take them or make you take them, especially if you are beginners, and do monitor it, but I am beginning to worry a bit! They keep telling me to slow down on the round part of my walk - the circuit I do is slightly uphill on the return section - the route is 400m - you do it as long as long as your given time - I start 20 mins the next time I go - but this doesn't seem to help much! What am I doing wrong and do I need to worry?! They made me repeat my previous time on Tues because I had been away for a while (being sick and in C/T) and it was still 26. What can I do? Hopefully I am going Tues, I go when I possibly can - I have major transport problems and its sometimes difficult to get there!

Thanks for the help.

Dear Anxious
I won't worry about this - it will come with time - each person is different and for you this may be "normal"
