Second Opinion please
Hi Doc

My brother has been having throat infections for a while now. Last year he went to an ENT and she told him he had to take his tonsils out and that his uvula had to be cut, because they were also infected. He went through all of this and now he has another throat infection. He's been given anti-biotics and told to go home. Is there anything he can do to avoid getting sick.

He's a musician and he sings as well. He also bodybuilds and keeps healthy. i.e no smoking, drinking etc.

I'd appreciate it if you could shed some light on the matter. The poor ouk is getting sick and tired of being on pills all the time.

Androniki, the fact that one has one’s tonsils removed, doesn’t mean that you won’t get throat infections anymore; it just means that you won’t get tonsillitis anymore. It sounds like he has no reason to worry, but if he wants to try something else, he should try Locabiotal® spray. It has antibiotic, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties, but it isn’t an antibiotic and therefore doesn’t have the side effects normally associated with taking antibiotics. Good luck.
