Shingles versus feliculitis
On Saturday I started getting a sensation on my legs it felt like insect bites and it was itchy. Saturday evening when I got in the bath i noticed that I had little pus filled blisters with big red circles around them on the front of my upper leg then around to my buttocks. It was also very painful by now and i had to put very loose clothing on. On Sunday I got up and noticed that the blisters where getting bigger i then popped them to relieve the pain. Sunday evening I went to the doctor at casualty as I was worried that it was shingles (because the blisters come from my bum around and then to the front of my thigh and down towards the inner thigh and then a couple on my inner calve). Her first impression was that perhaps it was chicken pox, but I’m sure I had it before. she said that it was not shingles as shingles has clear blisters and mine were milky, as well as mine are on both buttocks and legs and she said it should only be on one side not both, as well as there were not many blisters, blisters covering the front of my leg, there are only about 40 or so. Yesterday I started getting a pain in my left buttock, each time i move it is a sharp pain, and when it's not a pain it is a warm sensation. (now I had an injection about 6 weeks ago, I cant remember which side it was on - the injection was for pain relief after receiving 2nd degree burns on both lower legs and feet), The pain in my buttock seems to be getting worse.

What do you recommend I do?
Should I rather go back to the doctor or am I just being paranoid?

Dear Splaterpea
No you are definitely not paranoid. Have you been put on an antibiotic yet? Rather go back to your doctor for a re-evaluation - they should maybe also take a swab of the pus and send away to the lab for culture.
