I have a thick white foamy matter that makes it very difficult for me to swallow, and many times makes me want to throw up. I wake up with a very dry throat and the thick white foamy mass gets worse as the day progresses, and becomes very bad at night. The only way to relieve myself is to spit it out which is always very embarrassing as I dont always get a time to reach the bathroom. This is affecting my breathing and my swallowing and is becoming part of my daily living. I would appreciate some insight to this. I have been a sinus sufferer for quite some time. Thanks, looking forward to hear from you.

Dear Mdn
Please ask your GP to refer you to an ENT specialist - you may have chronic sinusitis and may need a sinus rinse or even an operation to drain the sinuses. In the meantime, use saline nosedrops every 3-4 hours to keep the phlegm more watery.
