Hi there,

Just wondering how long a tetanus injection lasts for? I cut my foot (not sure what on) while paddling on the umgeni river... Should I get a tetanus or will a thorough cleaning be sufficient?
Thanks very much.

Dear Cal

Thank you for visiting

A Tetanus injection normally lasts for a period of 5 to 10 years, so if you have had one in the last five years, a thorough cleaning will be sufficient.

Kind regards
