Thyroid problem
Hallo Doc, 45 yrs female. I had thyroid Iodine radiation for a overactive thyroid about 3 yrs ago. Have been to a few doctors and still have the problem of having a TSH and T4 count of 1.96 and 23.7 the one to low and the other to high, I should acctually loose weight but I have just he opposite, I have gained 11 kg in the last 3 yrs and can follow any diet but do not loose any weight. If I take 0.05 mg on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the other days still 0.1 mg my counts goes to low. I am currently on 0,1 mg Eltroxin Please advise or give me the contact number for someone that can help please. I also have alot of body pains as a result of using the Eltroxin.

You may need to see a specialist endocrinologist - look on Medpages.co.za for one near you. Your thyroid is not well controlled. Let me know if you do not manage to find one, as well as the area where you live and I'll try and refer you to someone? Please write in the post a question box.
