ADHD is a diagnosis of children that though still somewhat controversial ( because it gets over diagnosed as well as under-diagnosed ). Adult ADHD is a theory some people have, and not an accepted diagnostic category in any system of official diagnosis, and not so far as I have seen, accepted by any major specialist or expert group. Thta's not to say that no such thing exists, but it is unclear, and there have been few proper studies of it to clarify this. This is probably why you have found little about it in research, and most of what you will find will be from individual enthusiasts, rather than entirely reputable sources.
