Anti - depressants
Dear Cybershrink

I have been using Lorien for a year and a half now. My neurologist prescribe it for me. I was referred to him by my dr due to constant migraines I was experiencing. I am living in a very stressfull environment. My parents live with us. My mother suffers from manic depression and my dad from clinical depression. I know its hard for my husband and son to live with them. Sometimes I feel in the middle of every one`s problems.
I am not happy with my live. I know I have to do something otherwise I am going to loose my husband. He actually does not know that I suffer from depression. He thinks I take meds for my ulcer and other medical problems. He already thinks my mom is crazy. I don`t want him to look at me in a different way. I don`t want to take meds for the rest of my live. What to do?
Pls help!!

I think, riette, that it soudns as though you need to see a good local psychiatrist for a full re-assessment of your condition and what treatment would best help it, whether Lorien or CBT counselling, or what. With a strong family history of Depression, you could have a real vulnerability to becaoming Depressed. Whatever your condition, it shouldn't need to be kept secret from your husband, who ought to be understainding, whether you have Depression or Ingrown Toenails.
