Baby's parents
My brother and sister in law have a baby girl of 4 months. They are married a year now and are 25 years old.
I'm wondering whether they've gone "off" the baby. They send the baby away on weekends since she was 3 months old. The grandparents dont mind looking after the little one. But is it healthy to send such a young baby away every weekend? Has the novelty of a new baby worn off?
It's almost as if they distance themselves from her. I have a child myself and know that a break once in a while can do wonders, but surely not this often? Or is it good for the new family?
I stress about it because both the mom and dad suffers from depression, and I would like to help if possible.
Thank You for the advise.

Every weekend is an odd arrangement. HAve you discussed this concern with them, and with the grandparents ? Its not unhealthy, but it sounds like a couple mo0re intent on partying and having fun than on truly being parents.
