Bad day - FRIDAY 13TH
Help!
I just came from a long staff meeting where we were informed that our NGO is insolvent and it needs to close by end January as there are no funds.
To say i'm shocked its an understatement, surely management could have warned us last year before we closed for Dec holidays, I just don't know what to do.
Please anyone who know of any agencies or companies recruiting, Kindly send them asap
I work as a company Secretary and have an experience of seven years in this field, i also have a backround of Bookkeeping and accounts together with receptionist, office admin, Data capturing. i'm currently doing a certificate in primary education through distance learning with UNISA, which i started last year and have a certificate in Public Relations.
I'm desperate as i have a mortage Bond among other expenses. This was just a brief info about my work experience.
Please help!

Dea Noma, So sorry to hear of this awful news, for you, your co-workers, and for whatever cluients you serve, of course. Management surely had a duty to inform you all well in advance that this was a possible outcome. Call the Dept of Labour, the CCMA, any trades union you may belong to, maybe a free law clinic at the nearest Law School / University, and get proper advice asap, for you and your colleagues. There are surely many things the management owes to all of you and they must be made to pay what they owe, NGO or not is no excuse for irresponsibly bad management
