Hi nthabi,
Remind her that if her mom is so ill she doesn't want to burden her with simply hearing that her daughter has some problems, can't she imagine what an aeful burden it would be to her mother if her daughter killed herself ?
I understand that she feels very upset --- in ones first few romances, it seems even more drastic to lose a bf than when one gets a bit more experience and perspective. But I am sure beyond any possible doubt that he isn't worth it, and that she is much better off without someone who cheats. I agree with soul, neither of you should carry this burden on your own --- talk to her parents, and check if there is some counsellor available through the school. Remind her that she is a far greater and stronger person than any cheat, and that it is him who should be feeling bad for being such a lousy person, not her. She deserves to have a better man in his life, and if she stays around, she will find him.
