My mother is 66 yrs old, works more than 12 hrs - Mon-Fri 10 hrs on Saturday and about 8 on Sundays, until recently she loved her job, now she is afraid to go to work because she says she can't handle it, she suffers from High Blood pressure, has vertigo and now our doc put her on Zoloft for depression, she has been booked off work for a while, she now sleeps all day, wakes up feeling worse, has no apetite, doesn't want to lie in bed, but doesn't want to get up either - what else can I do to help, is there something else we should be looking at, is this normal depression systoms? Please help me or refer me to someone for help

That's an awfully heavy workload for anyone, of any age ! Her high blood pressure needs to be controlled, and maybe the advice of a good local shrink would be a good idea, as treating blood pressure AND depression can be a bit tricky. These could be among the usual symptoms of depression, but I'd rather have an expert shrink's opiniopn after she has been carefully examiend and assessed by him / her, to be sure.
