just want to say...
hi all

I hope all of you have a great Yule (winter solctice).

For those of you having a bad day take comfort in the thought that theoretically today is the shortest day of the year!!!

I have some very interesting plans to celebrate my favorite pagan festival, my finace and i are going to make a fabulos feast and then hold a romantic, cadle lit ritual (for those of you that are skeptical please note that no animals or babies will be sacrificed ha ha ha :P)

For those of you that do belive i wish you all the best for the "new year!"

Blessed be

Hi Wicca,
I suppose the shortest day is indeed a consolation --- less waking hours for things to go wrong in ! Not that things stop going wrong when it grows dark ! But at least now we can look forward to a lengthening of days. Actually, from a technical point of view, our brains are sensitive to dark / light , and we tend to get more easily depressed in the winter with longer nights, and to cheer up with more exposure to bright light as Spring approaches. Which makes the European mid-summer a sensible time for the celebrations I note at Stonehenge today.
