Like a boy. How do I let him know without chasing him.
Dear Cybershrink
Sorry to bother you with such an inane question when there are people out there with severe mental / emotional problems who are really hurting. I thought that perhaps you could just give me a few quick tips or perhaps some of the other people reading these questions to you could help me out.
I have recently met a beautiful man and he keeps flirting with me. I have a habit of chasing after the men I like and I don't want to do this anymore. Do I wait for him to make the move? I find myself calling him with work related questions and he's very funny & flirty but when I see him face to face he seems to clam up (as I do!) Do you think he is shy? What should I do? I want to let him know I am interested but do not want to appear as if I am pursuing him!!!
Thanks Doc,
Mata Hari

Dear Mata, sounds like you're in a Hari !
I don't mind responding to your question, but I don't quite understand it. You ask if you should wait for him to make the first move, but you also say he keeps flirting with you. sn't flirting "the first move" ? Many shy people are much more comfortable on the phone than in person. Maybe you could make the next move ( rather than the first one ) and suggest you two going for coffee at lunch time, to try how you both feel at a neutral venue away from the office, without any expectations except to see if it feels good together ?
