Dear worried,
Nothing's ever that simple. But it is true that severe stress, such as deeply obsessing about possible pregnancy ( as opposed to simply worying about it but keeping everything in proportion ) may influence one's fertility. Its not unusual for us to see situations in which someone who was fiercely strugling to fall pregnant, without results, gave up, started aranging an adoption, and found themselves pregnant, after they'd stopped trying so hard. This is why wise gynae's often recommend counselling ; and anyway, getting better at relaxing about the whole process, makes it much more enjoyable !
