Must I lie to you in order to be nice ? I haven't said anything unpleasant about you wanting to explore issues and understand some of the mysteries of life --- that's admirable. But I'm not going to hide the fact that millions and millions of rands have been taken from unhappy people by psychoanalytically trained or oriented therapists, who never have and never will, be cable of helping them. It's that particular method, that particular set of sterile theories ( after so many decades we've waited for them to prove themselves ) that I am against, and I wouldn't want to see someone of your intelligence and energy waste time rushing up a dead-end alley. I wasn't suggesting that you should stop analyzing ANYTHING, in your own way, only urging you to do your own searching and alnalyzing, and not to assume that any of the psychoanalytic twaddle must somehow be true.
I cant refer you to any evidence, book or website that supports or proves the validity of that approach, because none exit. If you search the web for articles and books critical of psychoanalysis, one of the greatest of all con games, I'm sure you'll find plenty on the subject.
