Personality Disorder
My manager not only has a drinking problem but verbally and emotionally abuses me. He did the same to my former colleague and drove her out of her job. He does no work and works me like a slave. I must add that he lies so effortlessly and has no remorse for his actions. At times it seems that he is not even aware of his actions. The problem is that most people think that he is a kind hearted person yet behind closed doors he has a very dark and aggressive side. He never accepts any responsibiltiy for his wrongdoings and always blames someone else. He refuses to take any instructions from people but especially from women even though his superior is a woman. He completely ignores her instructions without any consideration for the consequences. He has no problem with people who do not expose his incompetence but as I have exposed him, I am sometimes afraid that he may retaliate violently as he seems as if he is unstable emotionally. I was thinkink that he may have some personality disorder. Perhaps Anti-social. What is your expert opinion?

Where is the HR department in all this ? And/or the Dept of Labour, etc. ? If he drove your colleague out of her job, that's an offense called Constructive Dismissal. And I suppose if he ignores instructions from his boss because she is a woman, he needs to blame others for his failures to meet her expectations. He may well have one or several vaieties of personality disorder, but if so, that hardly helps you. Can you approach his boss directly to talk about this ? At least discuss it with HR so they are aware and they are required to protect you from scape-goating from him. And consult a good labour lawyer if you can
