RE: Friendship a possibilty
Please people I was not looking to be lamb-basted, He was getting a divorce at the time, (his marriage has been falling apart for the last five years - they decided to give it try again - i dont want to get involved in that as I am happy for him - that is where he belongs) yes what we did was wrong, we were both vulnerable and did the wrong thing, I guess i am paying the price for my actions i.e having to lose a really great friend, I probably deserve it because I was so weak.
thank you to the doc, all I needed was advice on whether a friendship was a good or bad idea. Please I did not have an affair with him, he misled me and all his friends by telling us all that he was divorced when I discovered the truth that his divorce was not final I ended everything. I am very sorry for what happened because allot of people could have gotten hurt, but believe me I have learnt my lesson. I guess there is a first time for everything - and one could never say that could never happen with me.

Don't leave. You're right that it's nonsense to blame you for having belived a liar ( at least for the first time you believed him). If jumping to conclusions was an Olympic Event, truth, regular, and some of our other readers would have a brilliant chance of bringing home a Gold medal for SA. However, as you'll have seen, our atual regulars are not as judgemental and self-satisfied !
