re: suggestions needed

Thanks CS

As it happens his sister is home now .. now these two have always been extremly close they are only a year apart and havent realy seen each other for a few years .. she is home from tech for the holidays ... and it took a few hours and I see that they are just as close as they ever were.

As i suspected Stephen is finding it very very hard to have to depend on me (This i got from Fran his sister) and desperatly wants to do something with his life but doesnt want to ask me.

So i got hold of him alone and asked him if he would like t try college .. i thought he was going to bawl .... i had a lump in my throat the size of a tennis ball...

Anyhow so yes he will be trying college ... but he is too scared to try maths and at this stage just wants to do something very basic like a small business course ....
its no problem if he does well it may give his self confidence the boost it needs.

he is one of these lucky kids that can charm the skin off an elephant , and has zillions of interests ....

As for being jobless , i have been very honest with him ... i can help him he needs to help in the house and garden as we dont have servants.

Also i asked him to perhaps try for a part time waitering job which he is very good at to help pay for his luxury items ... cos we are battling a bit.
I havent made a big issue out of it tho ...

And yes we often tell him how great it is to have HIM back again .. even tho he hasnt lost his childhood interests of spiders , snakes and frogs ..i tolerate his pets ..... its easier .. hehhehehhe.

Watching and chatting to him now just makes me so happy couldnt believe it ... its so great to have my little boy back .... altho at times its tricky cos he is now an adult....

but................ its good

Hi Carol,
Sounds like a typically wise set of behaviours and decisions all round i the Carol household. I don't know if he'd fancy Art's specific suggestion, but I know I have often wished we could find a reasonably priced all-round handyman to help with all the household fixit jobs most of us are hopeless at. I actually think our counry at present needs far, far, more of people with such talents offering their services to us average folks. We have far too many people with irrelevant and dubious university degreees, wanting to be bureaucrats and tell everyone else what to do and when to do it.
