The latter, I live in Pretoria.

If you can't sleep, then get up and do something instead of lying there and worrying. It's the worry that gets you, not the loss of sleep.

Excellent and oh so relevant a quote from Dale Carnegie ! In a way, Dale was one of the great pioneers of the self-help / group help movement, his books some of the most enduring early best-sellers on self-improvement, about how to feel confident in public speaking, how to succeed in business. Still worth a read. I remember there used to be, even in SA, a DC organization with branches in major cities which ran courses. I get the feeling that has died out nowadays.
I often feel that if I needed less sleep than the average, I could get still more useful things done, even in reading and planning !
