unusal sleeping trouble
Dear Cybershrink
I would just like to get some clarity on my recent sleep habits. My partner has noted that I have been grinding my teeth excessively, as well as shouting out aloud during my sleep. I do know that in recent dreams I have been fighting with people and must be projecting this into "reality"
What could possibly be the reason for this and could it have anything to do with me taking cipralex, which I have been doing for almost a year?

Tooth grinding is a real and sometimes puzzling problem ; some good dentists can help, and can make a special mouthpiece that protects the teeth and discourages the grinding. But it sounds as though this is part of a pattern of perhaps more deep dreaming sleep, during shich we may grind teeth, shout, move about, even get up and go for a walk, and some people do react to some antidepressants in such a way
