what a bad day!!
I just need to rant a tad.
My cat has been AWOL since Monday- I've been frantic with worry since then. I've put up "Lost" posters all over the place, but to no avail.
I've just found out today that I'm definitely NOT pregnant- I thought I was, and we've been trying for about two years (we're on fertility treatment). It is oh so depressing and I am taking a lot of strain.
Hubby and I had a huge fight this morning, which has now been resolved.
Everything just seems to be going for a ball of you know what!!
Its really hard because this cat is our baby... I suppose because we're infertile, we've treated our animals like our children.
It just stinks. No baby, no cat, and just tears and stress.
I know I'll be okay- my hubby is great and I do talk to him about all these things. He feels just the same way I do.
Guess things'll be better tomorrow. Hope my kitty returns tonight.

Dear catnip, rant away. And I can imagine how you feel. My cat and co-therapist has been very ill since Monday, with some cat version of the flu ( which can be dangerous in cats ) So she sits around motionless, with occasional loud sneezes, which annoy her hugely. I remember not long ago when she wandered off and disappeared overnight, and no amount of searching in the bushes could find her. The next day I got up at dawn to resume the search, and opened the front door, to find her sitting there looking Highly indignant, and she stalked past me to find her breakfast. So I hope you have a similarly happy ending, finding the independent little soul before long --- do let us know !
And yes, isn't it sad that pregnancy seems to happen so easily in those who really don't want it, and can be so hard to achieve in those who do want it. Sorry to hear of your disappontment, another form of loss. I know that you and your husband will be able to get through this, as you did through the previous disappointments, and hope for your eventual richly deserved success. Keep trying, and I hope you can post a fresh message tomorrow to tell us that kitty has returned.
