Why always an issue
Hi doc

I suffered from Anorexia 2 years ago - obviously still have 'anorexic thoughts' every now and then.

Today , I was minding my own business when someone at work asked told me ' you are putting on weight'

I am normal weight - probably 2 kgs over what I would like to be but it has made me feel so fat and ugly - I just want to sit in a corner and cringe! I am a tall girl 1,75m and I weight 68kg at the moment but now all I want to do is starve myself! When I woke up this morning I could feel my clothes were a little tighter than usual! I feel so fat and depressed. Please help me, how can I just be happy with what i have????

Pity it can't be banned by law --- but people at large seem to feel they have the right ( they don't, but that doesn't stop them ) to comment on other people's weight --- to tell us that we're fat, or thin, or whatever. Don't allow anyone so crude and stupid to make you feel bad. You could have said to her : "Actually, my weight is entirely normal --- which is more than can be said for your unpleasant personality, which is probably incurable. "
