Dear doc

My elderly cat has been diagnosed with feline babesiosis.
She has been given the following meds: Doxydog, primaquine and prednisolone. My problem is getting her to take the meds. I' ve tried fish paste, melrose, tuna and milk with little success. As a result I' m concerned that she is probably only getting half the dosage in. She is an ex stray cat who is pretty vicious if I try to go near her mouth so putting the tab in her mouth is out of the question.

Secondly, she' s been sneezing every few minutes for 4-5 times in a row.
Could this be related or a good old dose of hayfever???

I' m beside myself with worry.

Dear Ren

Ask your vet to keep her in hospital and give her the tabs daily, or you can take her daily and let them do it for you.
