Dog losing weight
Hi All

I have 2 male labrador/rottweillers. They are now almost 5 years old. The one, Buddy, was neutered about a year ago, but we didn't neuter Caesar. Our Vet told us that it is fine as long as he doesn't develop health problems and it in fact good to avoid dominance issues between the males.

I have now noticed that Caesar has been losing a lot of weight. He eats as he always has and the same food as well. He just seems so thin. I can feel his ribs and sometimes see them as well. I don't think it can be worms, because his appetite is not more than normal.

His personality has also changed, he is a lot more scared. He seems jumpy and urinates if you go to him to quickly or touch him suddenly.

Do you have any suggestions as to what else it could be?

Thanks.

It sounds as if he may be using more energy than he is taking in. Please have your vet check him over and you may consider having him neutered now. Is anything causing him to be fearful? Strangers, passers-by etc??
