insecure cat
We adopted a rather insecure stray cat about 5 months ago. She's just starting to gain some confidence but now we're going away for a weekend. How should we prepare her for the time away from us?

Hi Renee
Are you getting a house sitter? If not, make sure she is locked inside the house with someone coming in to make sure her food and water bowls are full. You could give her rescue remedy 1 week before you leave and then leave her water bowl out with the rescue remedy in it.
She will find a spot that she feels safe in and stay there. But make sure you lock her inside with a cat sand box.
