If the lump does not disappear within the next week, or it gets bigger, it will need veterinary attention. It may simply be an insect bite, and will then disappear within a few days. If it does not disappear, take her to your vet to determine whether it is serious or can be ignored. Some tumours may start off as a little lump, and the sooner they are removed the better. Once again, your vet will be able to make the distinction as to whether surgery is necessary.
