Moving house - kitten never been outside
I have a 4 month old male kitten. I stay in a flat and he has never been outside. I am moving to a ground floor flat at the end of the month. I am so scared that he is going to run away. I would really appreciate some advise with regard to moving and also getting him used to the outdoors. Also, when should I have him neutered?

Thank you

Hi There

You should keep the kitten in for at least a week and allow him out under supervision only during that time. A lot of people put the cats on a leash. It helps that the cat will not run away, you have him controlled. You can give him some catnip in the house, this should calm him and help him enjoy his new house. Most cats enjoy the outdoors, but will always go home to where the food is. You should have him castrated at 5-6 months.

Good luck
