My dogs Testicles
dear doc,
I have two 5.5months old puppies (from the same parents) chow chow x swiss shepherd dog, one has testicles and the other one doesn't. do i have any is it anything to worry about or is there a chance that he will still get his testicles.

If the testicles have not descended at this time, they are probably not going to. It is very important that they then be removed once a dog has matured. If they are left inside the body they will ultimately become malignant and cause various problems. This process does take several years, so you can wait until your dog is mature enough to undergo the operation. By the way, the condition is highly heritable and an affected animals should not be bred.
