staffie front right limp
Hi,

My 2yr old staffie has been limping for 3 weeks now, only when walking not running. I have been to 2 vets, both did x-rays and found no reason for limp, prescribed a cartlidge supp. When extending then retracting his leg I can feel a click as I retract right up to his chest? Any ideas of what I can do, he lives for his walks yet too scared to take him, no-where to turn now.

thanks

Mike

I'm afraid that only good physical examination, x-rays and possibly other tests can clarify the cause of the lameness. If your vet cannot help you, ask your vet if there is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon in your area that can offer a specialist opinion. Please be extremely careful not to simply administer painkillers, especially human medication, as these can have serious or fatal consequences if not given at the correct dose and type.
