Teacup persians??
was just talking to an old friend of mine and he says that he has a 3 year old persian cat that just hasnt grown. he bought the cat from a registered breeder as a proper persian. he says its still the same size as a 4 month old kitten!

what problems do cats bred like this have? is it legal to breed teacups?? I dont know how to feel about this on one had a kitten for life is quite appealing but on the other it sounds very cruel. where did this breed come from??

I am not aware of healthy cats that remain the size. It is more likely that there is some disease process or hormonal deficiency present in this cat. It certainly does not sound normal at all. It is difficult to comment on expected problems without knowing exactly what the underlying problem is, but I would certainly expect health problems in the future.
