Doc I am 45. A lot of my teeth are gone and I have bad overbite. I have gone to a maxilla facial doctor and he said the orthodontist must sort me out first before he can move my jaw forward.
To be honest I feel like a freak and am in hiding most of my life.
It is going to take a good 18 months before the max facial doc can move my jaw. Is it possible that this can be expedited if the orthodontist fixes a few important teeth, they align the jaw and than continue with the teeth.
Also the orthodontist I am using has 4 week intervals between appointments, can I try and get it down to 2 week intervals or is there a reason for these 4 week periods.

No, unfortunately the process cannot be spedup. the 4 week intervals are necessar y so that your teeth have time to move into the required position. 2 weeks is insufficient for this to happen. it is best you follow the treatment plan and time frame suggested by your specialist in order to get the best results.
