Alcohol and Liver Damage
In the case of a binge drinker, which type of alcohol causes the least damage to one's liver ? I have heard whiskey is the purest type of alcohol to drink and does least damage to the liver ?

Dear Binge Drinker
Basically the alcohol content of these beverages is what damages the liver. Thus a low-alcohol drink such as beer, or whiskey diluted with ice and water, taken in Moderation (not more than 3 drinks a day, and not every day for men and only 2 drinks a day, and not every day, for women), should not damage the liver. However, if you drink very large quantities of any alcohol and regularly, then you may damage your liver. Moderation is the key.
