Can eating oat bran, jungle oats and hi-fibre bran every day (35 - 40g of fibre a day) be bad in any way for your bones?

Dietary fibre is divided into 2 categories - soluble and insoluble. The fibre in oats is mainly soluble and is not associated with problems with mineral absorption. The fibre in foods which contain wheat is mainly insoluble and when eaten in excessive amounts it may interfere with the absorption of certain minerals such as calcium which are required for bone health and strength. As is the case with all foods and nutrients, it is better to consume dietary fibre in moderation. The recommended intake is 20-30g a day.
