Crazy Lazy Lifestyle
I need to lose weight... desperately!

I know what I am supposed to do, but battle to stick to a healthy lifestyle. My job requires that I travel a lot, stay over at places that serves wickedly delicious food, and work late frequently.

It often happens that I'm too late for gym... and the last thing on my mind after a long day at the office is cooking and packing lunch for the next day.

I try to get to spinning three times a week & fit in a weights session now & then, but mostly I get there once or twice.

I also try to eat lots of fruit, yogurt & frozen veg (anything that requires a minimum of time & effort)... but sometimes I just want a nice comforting hot meal, and then I can't resist a pizza or lasagne from the roadhouse next door (normally after 8pm).

Consequently I am technically obese... with a BMI of 33, and extremely unhappy with myself. Is there hope for me?

Well, I think you know what you need to do: Reduce your energy intake by making provision for taking along foods to work that will not pile on the kgs, selecting low-fat foods when you are away from home and doing exercise both at home and when away (ask Fitness Doc for a workout that you can do when you are staying in an hotel). The decision to lose weight, and to change your lifestyle is in your hands. You can still eat a nice warm meal consisting of lean meat or fish (cooked in a way that does not pile on the calories), a cooked starch (brown rice, or Durum pasta), vegetables (cooked and raw as salads) and fresh fruit as dessert. From what you say, I think that you are a very capable person so apply your talents to changing your eating habits and lifestyle, instead of your job for a change.
