Diet Coldrinks
I am trying to lose weight. I drink approximately 1 litres of Coke Light/Tab/Diet Sprite per day. Can this impact on my diet plan and if so, how come? Can this affect my metabolism? I am craving sugar badly, can this be caused by the coldrink or not? Please help

Dear Reader
If you were drinking sugar-sweetened cold drinks then this would have a negative impact on weight loss and promote weight gain as recent research indicates that liquid sugar is more prone to causing weight gain than eating solid sugar. So I don't think that the artificially sweetened drinks are having any effect on your weight. Your diet may be too low in carbohydrates and this could cause sugar cravings. Try to include extra low-fat, high-fibre carbs with a low glycaemic index (GI) to prevent cravings. Click on 'Diet' and 'Weight loss' and 'The right approach' and read the articles on the GI.
Best regards
