Dieting & satifying sweet tooth
Hi there,
I'm trying to loose weight but now and then I have a craving for something sweet.
I always go for liquorice sticks instead of chocolate. Is this a better alternative and
does liquorice contain many calories?

Thanks for your feed-back!

Dear Chame
Liquorice contains 1333 kJ/100g compared to an average of about 2200 kJ/100g of chocolate, so of these 2, the liquorice is less fattening. Crunch on a nice apple when you get that craving - apples only contain 245 kJ/100g/
