Eggs
How fattening are eggs? Is it true that the yellow contains 7% fat? if you have 2 once or twice a week is it bad for weighloss. What about if you just eat the egg white? is it true that all the goodness is in the white anyway?
Dear Egghead
A 50 g boiled egg supplies 76 cal or 319 kJ, which is not excessive, and 5,2g of fat. The egg yolk contains nearly 30% fat and 100g of egg yolk contain 1238 mg of cholesterol. However, the SA Heart Foundation recommends that adults eat 4 eggs per week, so you can certainly eat up to 4 eggs per week even when slimming. The white of the egg contains mainly protein, while the egg yolk contains iron, zinc, phosphorus and B vitamins.
Best regards
