Fat trapper
This morning I saw an ad on TV of some kind of Fat Trapper tablet allowing you 120g of fat per day, without picking up weight. Is this possible?

Dear Liz
I don't think so! Many of these claims have not been substantiated by sound scientific research and although there are some products that either interfere with the uptake of fat (Xenical) or increase fat excretion (psyllium), I doubt that such a relatively high fat intake would be nullified by taking one or 2 tablets. It is always better to follow a low-fat diet to achieve weight loss, rather than to take products that may or may not cause undesirable side-effects (e.g. malabsorption of nutrients, etc).
Best regards
