gassy bloated tummy
I occassionally suffer from a bloated gassy stomach, but cannot pinpoint any specific food that causes it. Recently I have started eating an orange a day and suddenly I have a very sore, very gassy stomach. I will stop eating the oranges, but what is wrong with my stomach that it can't handle them? Do I have irritable bowel syndrome?

Dear Flower
It is always best to have a medical checkup as these symptoms can be due to a wide variety of conditions - e.g. gastritis, ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, etc. It may help to keep a food diary for 2 weeks, noting down the foods you eat and the symptoms you experience. Then cut out the foods that cause the problems, but have that checkup just to make sure.
