Dear Chantal
This type of extreme starvation diet should only be used if you are under strict observation by a medical dr and a dietitian. At such a low energy intake you will start developing deficiencies and ironically your weight loss may even slow down because the human body reacts to starvation by shutting down its weight loss systems to conserve energy. I would recommend that you consult a clinical dietitian (check the List of Dietitians on this Website or phone 082-593-0276 or send an e-mail to or look in your local telephone directory or Yellow Pages, to find a dietitian in your area.). The dietitian will work out a diet for you that helps you to lose weight but still provides sufficient nutrients for good health. Once you feel more mobile you can combine the diet with exercise (brisk walking to start off with) to assist weight loss.
Take great care
