Is this diet ok?
Hiya Doc,
I weight 65kg's and am 5ft4in and am desperately trying to lose weight by November (i have a wedding to go to and everyone there is already rake thin).
My daily routine is i gym for hr and half each morning (cardio adn weights in programme) and swim. Then i have a bowl of all bran with skin milk for brekkie, a small salad with either tuna or chicken or lentils for lunch and for supper a salad with fish/chicken. I drink enough water and snack on an apple or dried fruit/nuts/ yoghurt and drink green tea with mint.
Yet i'm not losing as much as i would like. I know i have to be patient and i can already feel i'm losing cm's but i am getting impatient now!
(i also take calcium tablets at night and a multi-vit and vit c every morning)
How can i kick start the weightloss? I jsut need something to make a bit of a difference and encourage me a bit!
Thanks so much!

Dear Frustrated
You are already doing everything you need to do to lose weight sensibly. The exercise you do is wonderful and will stimulate your metabolism more efficiently than any pill or potion. As regards your diet I would add 2 cups of fat-free milk a day to ensure that you obtain 1000 mg of calcium as required. If you lose 0,5 to 1 kg per week, then you will have lost about 6 kg by the beginning of Nov, so your BMI which is at present 24,4 (well within the normal range), will reduce to 22 which is the ideal.
Hang in there, be patient and keep up the good work. Rome was also not built in one day!
Best regards and enjoy the wedding
