Should I eat when not hungry
Hi

I'd like to know if I should eat when not feeling hungry? I believe in having 6 small meals during the course of the day. I try and include carbs, protein and healthy fats with every meal. The meals are portioned (palm size, one serving of fruit etc) so they are not big, however 3 hrs later when I should have my next meal I often don't feel hungry. Do I still have my meal or wait until I start feeling hungry. I train on a daily basis (5 times a week) and include cardio and weight bearing excercises.

You don't mention if you are trying to lose weight or if your weight is normal and you are using 6 small meals a day to control your blood sugar levels, etc. If you are not trying to lose weight and do not suffer from hypoglycaemia or insulin resistance then you could try skipping a meal when you don't feel hungry. However, you may find that when you have skipped a meal and you then go your exercises that you will feel tired and have less energy. So do an experiment to see if skipping a meal makes you feel tired or decreases the energy you need for exercise.
