Dear Nandi
Some people have a tendency to excrete certain compounds that occur in common foods in their urine and this can cause characteristic smells. The prime example is when such individuals eat asparagus and their urine smells strongly of a chemical contained in the asparagus. There is nothing to worry about as it is perfectly normal in quite a large percentage of the population. There is also no way of changing this physiological response, except by drinking slightly more liquid (3-4 cups a day) to dilute the urine and the smell.
Best regards
