too much fruit
Is it possible to eat too much fruit? I have got a relatively healthy lifestyle , go to gym a couple of times a week , do not eat fatty foods or sweets but I do eat a lot of fruit. My beakfast is a plain fruit smoothy and during the course of the morning I will have an apple or two or whateverfruit is available . I will have a proper lunch and I eat a small dinner early at night. Before I go to bed I will have some more fruit , an apple or water melon. I battle to loose weight . Is it because of all the sugar I consume when eating fruit ?

Any food when eaten in excess, including healthy foods like fruit, can of course cause weight gain or hamper weight loss. It all depends if you are ingesting more energy than you expend. However, I don't think from what you list that you are ingesting too much fruit and that this is causing the problem. It may help to increase the amount of aerobic exercise you do to push up your energy expenditure.
