Dear D
Cardio exercises help for overall weight loss and to burn fat so do as much cardio as possible. However you will also need to do exercises that target the tummy like situps. Ask your instructor for exercises that specifically target the tummy. The fact that you have not lost any weight could be due to the development of lean muscle mass that ironically weighs more than fat tissue or that your diet still contains too many kJ. Click on 'Fitness' at the top of this page and then on 'Nutrition' and read the articles on 'Diets for Sportsmen and women' to see that you actually need more carbs, not more protein to sustain a strenuous exercise programme and to lose weight.
