Why is it not working
Hi Doc,

I am a 33 yr old mother of 3 (twins + 1) and have battled with my weight for the past 7 years. I have previously been to a dietician who put me on an eating plan and I lost 6 Kg's, it really worked well, but I lost interest and gave up on the diet. I now weigh 82kg's and am 1.74m tall. I put myslef back on her diet earlier this year, but I do not seem to be able to loose any weight and am starting to feel really dejected. Why did it work before, nothing has changed, it has only been a year since I stopped her diet. Please help

Dear Reader
There can be many reasons why people experience problems with losing weight, but I think one of the most important factors in successful weight loss is the kind of support you get when you go to a dietitian. Slimming is highly stressful and the more moral support you can get, the better. Please go back to your dietitian and discuss your problem with her. Seeing that your BMI = 27,1 at present, it would be desirable for you to lose about 10 kg, which will be much more attainable if you have her support.
