Dear Why
It is difficult to try and diagnose why you have gained weight now that you are an adult because there are so many different factors that could be playing a role: 1) changes in eating habits and activity 2) possible hormonal disturbances 3) boredom or frustration or depression, 4) use of medications such as the pill, etc. I would suggest that you have a medical checkup to determine if there is an underlying hormone imbalance (thyroid, female hormones, polycystic ovarian syndrome, insulin resistance) or depression that you can obtain the necessary treatment.
