Suffering from major depression and anxiety disorder at present. Have been put on meds and want to know if I should go onto the pill as I have been struggling for 7 years, suffer from occassional anovulation and have been for 4 IVFs and one ICSI which failed.I am naturally concerned being in this state and am also concerned if I do by the grace of G-d actually fall pg whilst on these meds of possible foetal abnormalities and also concerned that the pill will influance my prob with ocassional inovulation. Am in need of any advice even from someone in this kind of situation?! Please!

It is unclear whether the depression and anxiety disorder is relted directly to your fertility problem. This would be important in determining the future course of treatment with regard to fertility. It is unwise to attempt conceiving while using anti-depressants or psychiatric medication. There is a small but definite risk of congenital abnormalities if used peri-conceptually or in early pregnancy.
The reasons for the failed IVF / ICSI needs to be established and hopefully a better solution be sought to correct the problem.
