Dishcarge
I am wondering if the discharge that I experience every month is normal. Right now I am on day 17 of my cycle and my discharge is a little thick and creamy. One might think that I have a yeast infection, but there is not burning or itching. What can this be? Is it normal? It seems to happen at the same time every cycle.
Dear Emma
The discharge that you describe is a physiological discharge which is expected during mid-cycle. It is related to the high estrogen levels that are present in the circulation at this stage. This results in an increase mucuos production from the cervix which emminates as a thick creamy discharge.
